MOSES LAKE - Babe Ruth League organizers are still in search of families to host groups of two or three boys from teams traveling to Moses Lake for an upcoming tournament.

Teams arrive for the Babe Ruth League 14-year-old World Series August Friday August 16 and depart Sunday August 25.

Moses Lake will play host to teams from all over the country and generous families can choose to host two or three boys.

"I think it would be a great opportunity for the boys to stay with the families," Oscar Ochoa said.

Those who host players will receive family passes for the week long tournament.

Host families are responsible for transporting players to their games and practices. Ochoa and two other parents are taking the week of the tournament off to help with transportation.

Housing coordinators assigned to each neighborhood will also help organize transportation and group meals.

According to Ochoa, the tournament needs about 15 more host families to avoid placing some teams in a hotel.

Interested families should contact Ochoa before Friday at 509-760-3414.

"Please contact me as soon as possible so we can make any kind of arrangements possible to make this a positive experience for the boys and the host families," he said.
