One person sought for county board member

EPHRATA - The Grant County Board of Commissioners is looking for an interested citizen of Grant County to serve as an alternate member on the Grant County Water Conservancy Board.

The water conservancy board has authority to consider and adopt records of decision for state water right transfer applications. The board is a public body and a separate unit of local government in the state.

Appointed board members are volunteers. However, a board member is entitled to reimbursement from the board for necessary travel expenses and costs incidental to receiving training.

Applicants must reside in Grant County or a county adjacent to Grant County. The appointee must attend 32 hours of training conducted by the Department of Ecology.
