MOSES LAKE - Columbia Basin Herald has a new bookkeeper.

Jessica Huntley, who was previously responsible for the paper's obituaries and legal notices, has recently moved into her new position.

The Herald's former bookkeeper Jennifer Zickler left at the end of last month to begin working for Bishop Spray Services, where her husband, Pat Zickler, is part owner.

Huntley said she will mainly be handling billing questions from customers as well as businesses and other groups that place ads with the newspaper. She will also handle collections for the Herald.

Huntley began working for the Herald about two years ago, she said. She started in Inside Sales before becoming responsible for the obituaries and legal notices.

She said she is excited for her new role.

"This is something new and it's real busy work," she said. "Plus I enjoy working with numbers."
