Roberta Jean McCullough-Lindley

Former Moses Lake resident, Roberta Jean McCullough-Lindley, passed away as she lived, full of indomitable spirit, on November 11, 2012, at Life Care Center of Lewiston, Idaho at the age of 85, surrounded by her family.

"Jeanne" was born to Robert Paul and Lottie Anderson (nee' Armstrong) in Aberdeen, Washington on September 29, 1927. Raised in Chewelah, Washington, she graduated from Jenkins High School in 1945. Shortly after graduation Jeanne moved to Seattle going to work for the Department of the Navy.

Jeanne married Tim McCullough in Seattle on June 2, 1951. Tim was Sheriff of King County from 1954 to 1962. They made their first home in Lake Forest Park, followed by Queen Anne and then Magnolia. They enjoyed entertaining, traveling, fishing, golfing, fine dining, playing cards and being with family and friends.

Jeanne & Tim moved to Moses Lake in 1975. Jeanne worked at Faber Industrial Supply and then Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church handling office duties at both locations. Tim passed away October 14, 1986. In 1990 Jeanne moved to Vancouver, WA to be with her daughter and family and spent time volunteering in the activity center at Mountain View High School and working at TV Host Magazine in Portland.

Jeanne became reacquainted with classmate William "Bill" C. Lindley during their 50th year high school reunion. They married on September 6, 1997 in Coeur d'Alene, ID, residing in Clarkston, WA. Traveling, long leisurely drives & building yard art occupied their time together. Bill passed away on October 4, 2012 in Lewiston, ID.

A talented artist, Jeanne loved to paint and craft with her best friend Ann Wilson of Moses Lake. She spent hours designing homes and building miniature houses and had a passion for reading. She possessed a quick wit, great sense of humor and had a way with words. Always one to improve on her vocabulary, she would often read the dictionary just for fun.

Jeanne was actively involved in the raising of her grandchildren Ann and Debbie, the joys of her life. They are a reflection of her grace. Jeanne was blessed to have a close relationship with her sister Yuvonne and brother Bud and they enjoyed a lifetime of love and laughter. Jeanne's brother, sister & nieces fondly called her Bobbe or Aunt Bobbe and she spelled her name Jeanne or Jean throughout her life.

Jeanne is dearly missed by her family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever but who are comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace with the Lord.

Jeanne is survived by daughter, Jeanne-Marie Benecke-Anderson, son-in-law Chris Anderson & step-granddaughter Britt Anderson of Minneapolis; Granddaughter Ann Benecke-Cushing & Grandson-in-Law John Cushing of Vancouver, WA; Granddaughter Debbie Benecke & fiancé Shannon Dunn of Vancouver, WA; Sister Yuvonne M. Buckley of Moses Lake, WA; Step-sons Tim McCullough, Jr. and wife Ruth of Renton, WA and Michael McCullough of Tukwila, WA; Step-granddaughter Kelly Morris and her husband Dan of Tukwila, WA; Step-grandsons' Danny and his family of Renton, WA and Tim Jr. of Phoenix; Sister-in-Law Sharon Anderson of Yakima, WA; Nieces Gail Jones, Sue Nesper, Denine Broyles, Erin Grotting, Charlene Sandland and their families; Sister-in-Law Alene Florence & husband Carol of Casa Grande, AZ.

Jeanne had a host of loved ones that welcomed her to heaven, which include her parents, little brother Robert L. "Bud" Anderson, sweet sister Charlotte Anderson, beautiful niece Cynthia R. Hohner-Skucy and wonderful brother-in-law Leroy D. Buckley, as well as Jeanne's late husbands, Tim and Bill.

Dale Road, Moses Lake, Washington at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the church facility. Please visit Jeanne's online memorial page at www.mrechantfuneralhome.com.
