MOSES LAKE — According to the US Census Bureau, the population of Moses Lake is on the rise, growing an estimated 30% from 2000 to 2012. In comparison, the number of food and accommodation service businesses rose only 12% during the same time, according to GrantCountyTrends.org, an Eastern Washington University online resource for public interest information. If you are considering opening a new business or a second business, look no further, there is a great opportunity for you at the Larson Gateway Community! Located on Patton Street and Aspi Boulevard, a new development has been built and is ready to house at least two restaurants and more.

Currently, residents of the Larson Project, employees of the Grant Count International Airport and students and faculty at Big Bend Community College must drive 3 to 5 miles for food or other services, with the exception of cafeteria food or gas station items. This is a population of about 10,000 people, according to Realty Executives employee Tom Perry.

A recent survey by Realty Executives shows residents of the area want a burger joint, or pizza place, or a coffee shop. Perry said 52 percent of survey takers projected they would visit a close establishment once or twice a week and would probably spend $11 to $30 a visit. They are currently running another survey, directed at students and workers who drive to the area, to ask what kind of business they would like to see. Everyone who participates will be put in a raffle to win $100.

Residents of Cascade Valley neighborhood are also closer to this development than downtown Moses Lake.

Realty Executives' mission is to bridge the gap between the needs of the community and commercial real estate in Moses Lake. Perry and Realty Executives are dedicated and excited to develop the Larson community in a safe and profitable way for all involved.
