Timothy W. Butler

Timothy W. Butler, 43, former Moses Lake resident, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013.  Tim, known as Timmy by many of his family and friends, was born on December 12, 1969 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Richard Lee Butler and Grace "Christine" Butler. He was the sixth of eight children.

Tim was raised and attended school in Moses Lake, WA. While living in Moses Lake, Tim met his wife, Kendra (Dorris) Butler. They were married on April 22, 1995 in Port Townsend, WA. Their 18 years of marriage brought them one child, Korisa Lynn (Kori).

Tim served his country proudly for 11 years in the U.S. Army. While living in Moses Lake, Tim was employed by ASiMI (later known as R.E.C). Most recently, Tim was employed as a federal civilian employee for the U.S Navy at their Indian Island, Port Hadlock Depot in Port Hadlock, WA.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Richard Butler, on April 25, 2006. Tim is survived by: his wife, Kendra Butler of Port Townsend, WA; his only daughter, Korisa Lynn Butler of Port Townsend, WA; his mother, Grace "Christine" Butler of Moses Lake; seven siblings and their spouses, Richard Butler of Moses Lake; Craig and Cynthia (Butler) Williams of Moses Lake; Greg and Rebecca (Butler) Orman of Renton, WA; Henry and Tamara Butler of Ephrata, WA; Joe and Michelle (Butler) Jesse of Moses Lake; John and Kim (Butler) Forsberg III of Moses Lake; William and Marion Butler of Monaca, PA., and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Port Hadlock VFW, 31 Matheson Street, Port Hadlock, WA, 98339. In lieu of flowers, a dependent memorial fund has been established for Tim's wife and daughter in his memory. Donations can be made via PayPal to the Tim Butler Memorial Fund on Facebook.
