MLIRD offers thanks for Kids' Fishing Day

MLIRD would like to thank the Columbia Basin Herald for helping to get the word out about our fourth annual Kids' Fishing Derby at Connelly Park (Airman's Beach). Having the registration form in the Grant County Journal helps kids in our community get registered for this great event.

Connelly Park was full of children and parents who all went through water safety training provided by Grant County Fire District #5 and the Sheriff Marine Deputies. Following the training, the children cast their lines into the water with great anticipation of catching the "big one."

We believe the impact and value of this day will be remembered by all for quite some time, as all the children were full of excitement.

Thank you again. You made a huge difference in a child's life because of your generosity.
