| April 24, 2013 6:00 AM

Darlene was born in Port Townsend, Washington on January 6, 1936 and went to heaven on October 25, 2012 in Everett, Washington. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Bill Johnson and her four children; David Johnson and his wife Anna, Barbara Dehm and her husband Karl, Linda Burns and her husband Gary, and Kim Sawin. She has four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She loved having her family around at all times but especially during any holiday. She had a great sense of humor and was always smiling.

Darlene's great love was God and the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church. She was a blue bird leader and girl scout leader. She was the guardian for bethel five, Jobs daughters and royal matron of amaranth. She gave many hours to help people and families.

She retired from the Edmonds school district in 1997 and she and Bill spent the next few years on the road traveling. Her hobbies were sewing, ceramics, and crafts of all kinds. She loved to shop. Darlene, a beautiful lady with a wonderful heart, has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.

A memorial service will be held at the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on April 27. Gifts and memorials may be made to the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church.
