As our water level continues to rise, the submerged swim area at MarDon Resort has become amazing trout fishing. Rainbow from 17 inches to 25 inches have been reported in the last 7 days by bank fishers. The clean water covering the sand swim beach at MarDon has been amazing to see, with schools of rainbow, visible from the shoreline.

Trout action in the seep lakes below O'Sullivan Dam continues to produce good trout for bank fishers.

Using Powerbait, Pautskeze's Salmon Eggs, night-crawlers and marshmallows continues to be the best ammunition for bank fishers.

Improved Bird Viewing Area:

The bird research Northwest Study Group living at MarDon Resort, until their study ends in late July, is gathering data in the North Potholes Reserve. The Double-Crested Cormorant, Black Crown Night Heron, Great Blue Heron, and the Great Egret (the White Colored Egret) have all been witnessed this week in the North Potholes Reserve Area. Also, vast numbers of many species of waterfowl have been witnessed. A new improved road, plus a viewing blind, with viewing windows and a bench is now available for birding enthusiasts at the finish of the Job Corps Dike Road.
