Notice of Application and Proposed Determination of Non-Significance

Notice is hereby given that a Building Permit application and SEPA Checklist received by Grant County on 4/02/13 from Basic American Foods, (Designated Contact: Rob Stokes (Basic American Foods, 538 Potato Frontage Rd., Moses Lake, WA 98837); and were found to be technically complete on 4/10/13.

Notice is hereby given that a Building Permit application and SEPA Checklist received by Grant County on 4/02/13 from Basic American Foods, (Designated Contact: Rob Stokes (Basic American Foods, 538 Potato Frontage Rd., Moses Lake, WA 98837); and were found to be technically complete on 4/10/13. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of

the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: The construction of one (1) approximately 315 sq. ft. bean storage tank (Diameter 20-ft., height 35-ft.) and a 400 sq. ft. addition to connect the bean tank to existing building on a 96.25-acre parcel in the Rural Heavy Industrial zoning district of Grant County. ZONING: Rural Heavy Industrial. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code. LOCATION: The subject site is located approximately 2 miles south of I-90 just off of Hwy 17 on Potato Frontage Rd. SE of Moses Lake, WA. In the SE quarter of Section 06, Township 18 North, Range 29 East, WM, Grant County, WA. (Parcel #21-1768-000). PUBLIC HEARING: None. Copies of the application materials for File #13-5778 are available from Connor Lange, Assistant Planner at the Grant County Planning Department at 457 1st Ave NW, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 625; office hours are 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm on April 30, 2013 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. All persons, agencies or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code.
