Quincy school bus involved in collision

QUINCY — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an injury collision involving a Quincy School District bus and a passenger vehicle.

The collision occurred on Road 11 Northwest and Road S Northwest, west of Quincy about 4 p.m.

According to a sheriff’s office statement, about 30 children were on the bus and an undisclosed number of students with minor injuries are being taken by ambulance to Quincy Valley Medical Center. Deputies, ambulances and EMTs are on scene treating any other minor injuries.

Many of the children were transferred to another bus, according to the sheriff’s office.

An official from the Quincy School District will be notifying parents if their child was on the bus.
