Patricia was born July 19, 1924 in Springfield, Nebraska to the late Alex and Vera Bauld. On June 10, 1944 she married Nelson Dunham Havens, a faithful and loving companion for 54 years. She attended Springfield State Normal School and then taught for four years.

Patricia and Nelson farmed in South Dakota through dust storms, grasshopper plagues, tornados and drought. While in South Dakota, three children were born to them, Jane, Rhonda and Nelson Jr. (N.D.).

In 1957 they moved to Washington State where they were blessed with two more sons, Joel and Cody. While in Western Washington she was busy with lovingly raising her family while making numerous houses into "homes". She assisted Nelson during the 18 years they raised Draper Valley fryers in Maltby.

In 1979 Nelson and Patricia moved to Eastern Washington along with N.D. and his wife Julie, Joel and Cody, where they farmed for 20 years. She loved living in the Royal City area where she kept very busy. Some of her duties included baling hay, working cattle, running a paper route, and raising a flower and vegetable garden which then led to canning and preserving her harvest. She cared for her grandchildren as well as many neighborhood children, loving them and treating them as if they were her own.

Patricia will be remembered for her small but strong stature, her high values, being a good listener, her yummy cinnamon rolls, willingness to help in whatever needed to be done and most of all loving her children.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jane (Ken) Strieby and Rhonda (Russ) Dean; three sons, Nelson (Julie) Havens, Jr., Joel Havens, and Cody (Teresa) Havens; Granddaughters Harmonie, Hollie, Amanda, Gabriela and Elizabeth; Grandsons Jon, Matt (Tracy), Tyler, Jason (Loretta) and step-grandson Dan; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Nola; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Inez and brother Clinton.

Special thanks to the Royal City Clinic (Jose Estrellado, Janna, Elizabeth, Anna) and Assured Hospice of Moses Lake. Mom loved Pastor Paul's music! In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Assured Hospice at 1417 South Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, Washington 98837.
