| April 8, 2013 6:00 AM

MOSES LAKE – Detectives from Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a man suspected on a variety of drug related charges on March 27 after a car chase into Moses Lake. ?

INET detectives, Grant County Sheriff’s deputies and Moses Lake Police officers were preparing to serve a search warrant at 4009 Dusty Street in Moses Lake when the chase broke out. The warrant was based on a seven-month undercover investigation of the sales of Methamphetamine. ?

Around 2:20 p.m., police saw suspect Edward McIntosh in a white Honda Accord drive away from the Dusty Street home. A deputy tried to pull McIntosh over, but McIntosh refused to stop, and officers gave chase.

McIntosh stopped the car a short time later and was arrested at Peninsula Drive and Marigold Street. The vehicle was seized as evidence. ?

Officers then served the search warrant at the Dusty Street home. More than 60 pieces of suspected evidence were found.

Officers also served a search warrant on the white Honda. Several more pieces of suspected evidence were discovered, including a stolen .45 caliber pistol. ?

McIntosh, 53, of Moses Lake, was taken to the Grant County Jail for suspicion of first-degree possession of stolen property, first-degree trafficking of stolen property, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug with intent to deliver in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony eluding a police officer. ?

“As you can see from the long list of charges, McIntosh is suspected of committing a huge amount of crimes, and for INET to take him off the street and put him in jail was an important task,” Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones said. ?? ?
