Dog license fair set at Quincy

| April 7, 2013 6:00 AM

QUINCY - The City of Quincy and Quincy Animal Shelter are holding a dog licensing fair on April 11 from 12-5 p.m.

The dog licensing fair will be held at Quincy Hardware and Lumber. A dog license is required for all dogs living within the city limits of Quincy. ?

To get a city dog license, your dog must be currently inoculated with a rabies vaccination. The first vaccination is required at the age of four months and needs to be updated every one or three years, depending on the type of vaccination given.

Keeping animals current on their vaccinations prevents the contraction and the spread of various diseases. Also required are proof of spay/neuter or AKC registration papers. ?

The licensing cost is $5 for altered animals and $12 for registered non-altered animals
