Body found near Sand Dunes

MOSES LAKE - The body of a man was found near the Moses Lake Sand Dunes Monday afternoon. Evidence at the scene suggests the man may have committed suicide, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called about 5:45 p.m. Monday after a passerby found the body near the west side of the dunes on Sand Dunes Road. According to reports, the body may have been inside a sleeping bag. A firearm was found at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
The Grant County Coroner will perform and autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death. The coroner will release the man's name as soon as his family is notified.
