Dale A. Durbin

Dale A. Durbin, 79, a resident of Moses Lake since 1950 passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at home surrounded by loving family. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Dale's Life on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Danny's Tavern from noon to 3 p.m. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Dale was born on December 27, 1933 in Eugene, Oregon, son of the late Earl and Helen (Devitt) Durbin. He was married to Margaret "Peggy" Miller (affectionately known as Blanch by her husband, Dale) on September 20, 1952 and they have made Moses Lake their home since. Dale enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, golfing and water skiing. He loved spending time with his family. Dale and his brother, Andrew "Merle", could be seen daily on the golf course. He was a member of the Moses Lake Elks and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #598.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Roxanne Durbin and Dan and Gina Durbin; daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Tom Shaffer; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia Solomon and Sandra Hatley; 1 brother, Andrew Durbin; & close family friends, Naomi, and Bob & Betty Teslow.

Besides his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife.

Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, WA 98837 The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Assured Hospice for their care of Dale these past months; especially Megan and Dr. Quinn, his daughter-in-law Gina Durbin, Gina's sisters, Merita and Tessie, and family friend, Naomi, who all made it possible to keep Dale at home.
