Special Election-Proposition #1-6 Year Levy
The Board of Commissioners of the Coulee Area Park and Recreation District adopted Resolution No. 2012-4 concerning a proposition to impose a maintenance and operation expense levy. This proposition would allow the Coulee Area Park and Recreation District to fund maintenance and operation of its facilities for the benefit of its citizens by imposing a property tax levy in the sum of fifteen ($.15) cents per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation to be collected for six consecutive years beginning in 2013. The registration deadline for online registrations is October 8, 2012, the deadline for mail-in
registrations and transfers is October 6th, 2012 to allow for Columbus Day closure of the Post Office. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including October 29, 2012.
You can register or obtain registration forms at the County Auditor’s Office, on our website at;
www.co.grant.wa.us, select Elections and then MyVote and the Department of Licensing.
The Grant County Election Office, 35 C St NW, Room 203, at the County Courthouse, is where
voters may obtain replacement ballots, drop off voted ballots, or obtain provisional ballots. Also
available to the public is the DAU’s or Disability Access Units, which provide voters with
disabilities an equal opportunity to vote independently and privately. Voters needing additional
information or assistance with voter registration forms or voting, may call (509) 754-2011, Ext.
377 or 423.
You may bring your voted ballot in person to the Grant County Election Office, Room 203, at the
County Courthouse during regular business hours; Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00
P.M. On Election Day, November 6, 2012 the hours will be 7:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M
The following designated drive-up ballot drop site locations will be available beginning October 17, 2012 through November 6, 2012 at 8:00 P.M.
