MOSES LAKE - Homemade crafts enthusiasts no longer have to wait for weekly farmer's market events to check out new products.

Allen Boughter, owner of Cougar's Crafts N' Things, and Denise Mulder of Craft Creations, recently opened a permanent store on Broadway Avenue to showcase their goods.

Boughter also said a couple of other individuals will be selling their homemade crafts on consignment in the same space.

Boughter said that he wanted a permanent space so he could offer flexibility for customers who might like to shop for homemade goods outside of the farmer's market.

"We were not doing too bad out at farmer's market," he said. "But we wanted to step up a little higher."

The pair found their new space, painted it and got it ready in time for their grand opening last week.

The store sells homemade clothes, blankets and jewelry along with wood crafts like piggy banks and rockers. Boughter said he is working on bringing in leather goods like purses and bags.

Boughter said the store accepts special orders for some items, if customers don't see what they're looking for.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..

But Boughter said with the holidays approaching they might consider expanding their hours.

The crafts store is located at 1627 W. Broadway Ave.
