Warden volleyball beats Wahluke

WARDEN - Iris Rodriguez had nine kills, seven digs, one ace and Hannah Bisnett finished with eight kills and four kill-blocks to help lead Warden to a three set (25-16, 25-17, 25-20) win over Wahluke last night.
Warden has had little trouble adjusting to moving up a classification as the team remains undefeated against their 1A SCAC opponents.
"I'm very pleased with how the girls are playing right now," coach Dennis Treat said. "From what I understand, Wahluke is a much improved team this year and they made it tough for us tonight."
The senior laden Cougars, Treat said, are showing a lot of moxie and providing a lot of leadership on the floor for the teams underclassmen.
"We have a fantastic group of girls on the team, who are very fun to coach," he said. "We are half-way through the first part of the season and are 3-0 in league play and 4-0 overall."
A few other Cougars worthy of note for their performances against Wahluke were freshmen Aaliyah Enriquez who had five kills, five aces and six digs, Abby Richins who tallied 10 assists and nine digs, libero Bianca Hernandez who had 17 digs and Haley Yamane who finished with eight digs and 12 assists.
Warden is back in action Thursday when the team travels to Connell to face the Eagles.
