Warden volleyball defeats River View

KENNEWICK - The Warden Cougar volleyball team kept their perfect record in tact with a hard-fought three set (25-20, 25-9, 25-15) victory on the road at River View Sept. 13.

The win improves Warden to 2-0 in the 1A SCAC East Conference and 3-0 overall.

Irish Rodriguez led the Cougar attack with 12 kills, 15 digs, was 15 for 17 serving and finished with three aces. Narcy Guerra connected on 21 of 22 serves, had five aces and 11 digs, libero Bianca Hernandez had 18 digs, and Lexy Pruneda came off the bench to record six of seven serves, one ace and four digs.

"Next week will be a key week for us as we face Wahluke and Connell," coach Dennis Treat said. "Both teams figure to be tough league competition."

Warden hosts Wahluke at 6:30 p.m. tonight and travels to Connell Thursday.
