Tom D. Beck

Longtime Warden resident of 70 years, Tom D. Beck passed away on September 13, 2012 at Valley Residential Care. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Kayser's Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy Street, Moses Lake with Pastor Eric Frey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. He was born on March 16, 1929. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Tom worked for the Warden School District for 30 years. While in Warden, he served on the City Council for two terms as well as the Cemetery Board and Planning Commission. Tom was a U.S. Marine at Fort Ord in California. Throughout his lifetime, he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed camping and boating with his family immensely. Barbecuing and watching his children and grandchildren poolside was always a favorite activity for him. He was a man with a big smile, a heart of gold, and a kind disposition.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lois Beck; two daughters Debbie McGrotha (Kelly) and Denise Mccaffery; four grandchildren, T. J. and Bryce McGrotha; Bryan and Jayme Albrandt; four great grandchildren, Summer, Kaylee, Madison and Jayden; one brother-in-law , Scott Berdan; one nephew, Greg Berdan and one niece, Kim Guerrero and all other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson D. Beck and his mother, Helen W. Beck.
