Phelps, Prinzen win Aug. 29 men's day

CRESCENT BAR – George Phelps and Wes Prinzen combined their scores to win the Aug. 29 men's day competition at the Crescent Bar Golf Course.
The day's game was the best net nine holes for each partner combined, played in two divisions. The side game was closest-to-the pin (KP).
The first place team of George Phelps and Wes Prinzen had a combined best net score of 69.5 when putting together each man's best nine.
The second place team was Jerry Riddle and Don McGinnis whose combined best nines netted a score was of 70.
The third and fourth place teams of Jon Bergman and Earl Wolf and Tom Harris and Larry Ward tied with a combined best net 18 of 70.5.
The division I KP winner was George Phelps at a distance of 4-5.5.
Division II KP winner was Larry Ward at a distance of 24-8.5
Birdies were made by Tom Harris on hole No. 1, Jon Bergman on hole 3, Joe Quintanilla and Dave Hayes on 6, Paul Enquist on 9, Don DeMuth and George Phelps on 14, Don Wilson on 15 and Don McGinnis on 18.
