Condotta wins 'prestigious award'

| September 16, 2012 6:00 AM

OLYMPIA - State Rep. Cary Condotta, R-East Wenatchee, received the Association of Washington Business's Matson Award Wednesday.

The award honors those who work on behalf of the state's employers.

The association said that Condotta has worked "courageously and effectively across party lines in Olympia on behalf of the business community."

Condotta called the award the most prestigious one he's received.

"This one means a lot to me because it's in the area where I do the most work," he said. "It's been a long 10 years of working on business issues, and I'm ready to get back at it."

Condotta represents the state's 12th district, which covers Soap Lake and outlying portions of Grant County.

He is running for re-election against Chelan lawyer Stan Morse.
