Lions thank Job Corps fair helpers

| September 14, 2012 6:00 AM

The Moses Lake Lions would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge special thanks to our Columbia Basin Job Corps Culinary Department for extending many hands to help us with our Lions' Dessert Bar at the Grant County Fair. Susan Mann and Theresa Clement worked with me to organize scheduling, transportation, tickets, etc. so these students could practice specific job-training skills learned in the Culinary Job Corps program and be able to implement those skills in the public workforce.

These students were always very polite and friendly with our customers. They followed our directions well. They were ready to tackle any job we asked them to do. And I know they had fun in our booth because they continued to thank us for giving them this special opportunity to work with the public.

Thank you again, Job Corps. Your students showed the Moses Lake Lions their"I can do it" attitude and fulfilled the Lions' motto: "We serve!"

Thank you culinary students: Cortnie D., Raneisha D., Dominique E., Ciera H., Kayleigh K., Codi M., Sierra K., Samantha M., Shanade M., Samantha M.
