Lady Phoenix drop volleyball match to White Swan Cougars

MOSES LAKE - The Columbia Basin Secondary School (CBSS) Lady Phoenix dropped an exciting four set home volleyball match to White Swan Tuesday.
The Phoenix jumped out early in the first set and never looked back as the team beat the Cougars 25-10.
But that was the only set of the match CBSS was able to win as the Phoenix dropped the next three 21-25, 19-25, 26-28.
Amber Lloyd led the CBSS attack with three kills, three digs and five blocks.
Crystal Lloyd had two kills, six digs and five blocks and Jayslie Balanay added two kills and five digs.
Emilee Hieronymus contributed three aces, seven assists and two kills Tatiana Perez finished with an ace, two kills and two digs.
Balanay, Crystal and Amber Lloyd and Hieronymus were perfect from the serve line on the night.
"The girls are really starting to play as a team. Service was up to 93 percent and they're putting the plays together with more consistency," coach Terri Pixlee said. "We are getting better each week and are looking forward to playing Wilson Creek who is always a tough team."
The loss to White Swan drops the Phoenix to 0-2 in league play.
CBSS takes a short trip across campus to take on Moses Lake Christian Academy Sept. 18, then hosts the Wilson Creek Devils Sept. 20.
