THE CITY OF OTHELLO IS ACCEPTING PROPOSALS

AND APPLICATIONS FOR 2013 TOURISM PROMOTION PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THE HOTEL/MOTEL LODGING TAX

AND APPLICATIONS FOR 2013 TOURISM PROMOTION PROJECTS

TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THE HOTEL/MOTEL LODGING TAX

Each year the City receives funds from the room tax imposed upon the hotels/motels within the City. These funds can be expended as established by State law (RCW 67.28.1815). To be considered for funding, proposals must meet one of the following criteria:

• To pay for all or any part of the costs for tourism promotion

• To acquire tourism-related facilities

• To fund the operation/promotion of a tourism-related facility.

• To fund a multi-jurisdictional tourism-related facility

The City Council requires that copies of the organization's 2012 budget and the 2013 proposed budget be submitted with the completed application form. The City Council will review each proposed application and the organizations requesting funding will also need to be prepared to present their request to the City Council at the workshop in November.
