FRANKLIN COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been proposed to the Franklin County Planning Commission an application by Carefree Meats, LLC, 6880 Road 170, Basin city, WA 99343 for a Conditional Use Permit, CUP 2012-08.

Said application is to construct a 900 square foot building for the storage of equipment and hides associated with an existing slaughterhouse business. This proposal amends CUP 90-07 which allows for the operation of a USDA inspected slaughterhouse. The property is located in the Agricultural Production 20 Zoning District.

The subject parcel is described as follows:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: East 350 feet of the North 500 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 13 N. Range 29 East; and North 500 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 13 N. Range 29 East, Excepting the Easterly 350 feet there of and Excepting the Portion Lying Northwesterly of Centerline of DEP 4.20 Drainage Canal. Parcel Number 121-126-527.

NON-LEGAL DESCRIPTION: The property is located north of Sheffield Road and is approximately 1/2 mile south of the Glade North Road and R-170 intersection near Basin City. The property is at site address 21981 Glade North Road (Parcel Number 121-126-536 and 121-261-527).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said application will be considered by the Franklin County Planning Commission. Said consideration will be a public hearing on October 2, 2012 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Franklin County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 1016 North 4th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301 and all concerned may appear and present any support for or objections to the application. Written comments are accepted prior to the public hearing and those comments shall be submitted to the Franklin County Planning Department, 1016 North 4th, Pasco, Washington 99301.
