October 6 slated for Shellfish Festival

| September 10, 2012 6:00 AM

TRINIDAD - The 7th annual Shellfish Festival is coming up at White Heron Cellars on Saturday, October 6, from 1-6 p.m.

As usual, White Heron will bring together three different kinds of oysters that can be compared on the half shell raw or cooked.

In addition, Chef Spencer Peet from the Sun Dial Bistro in Soap Lake will be on hand to prepare oysters, mussels, and clams in fun and tasty ways.

Also available for those who don't particularly enjoy shellfish will be Chef Spencer's award winning Texas Chile.

"You may have to wait a few minutes for your order because the shellfish are fresh and shucked as needed," White Heron proprietor Cameron Fries said.

There will be live music throughout the afternoon, provided by Patrick Foster and the Locomotive.

"He gets his story across through blues-rock riffs, tender harmonies, New Orleans-influenced tempos, killer slide guitar solos, ace 70s funk keyboards, vibes, and strings," said band member Brent Steker.
