RITZVILLE - Lind/Ritzville-Sprague (LRS) got scores from six different Broncos to close out the regular season with a lopsided 46-8 win over the Mountain Lions at home Friday.

The victory kept the Broncos perfect record intact (5-0, 8-0) in the Northeast 2B Conference standings.

Quarterback Dylan Hartz hooked up with Matt Fryberger for 35-yards and a score (Matt Leffel kick) to give the Broncos a 7-0 lead. Tyler Frederick hit pay dirt from 1-yard out (PAT) to push the score to 14-0 LRS to end the first quarter scoring.

The Broncos added 20 points in the second quarter when Hartz connected up with Cort Ruzicka for a 19- yard touchdown (kick failed), and a 30-yard pitch and catch to Tyler Greenwalt (PAT), followed by a 1-yard run by Dustin Kommes to up the LRS tally to 34-0 at the half.

Greenwalt put six more points on the board for the Broncos to start the third quarter of action on a 79-yard kickoff return (kick failed) to increase the LRS lead to 40-0 and the rout was on.

Hugh Hennings made it 46-0 on a 1-yard dash (kick failed ) to start the fourth quarter scoring. Liberty Bell avoided the shutout on a 3-yard TD pass from Match Burnham to Daniel Sanders. A successful 2-point run by Gag Hughes rounded out the scoring for the game.

Hartz completed 14 of 17 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns. Kommes led the ground attack for the Broncos with 81 yards on 11 carries.

The stingy LRS defense held the Mountain Lions offense to 75 yards on the game.

The Broncos are back on the gridiron Friday when the team hosts the No. 9 seeded Asotin Panthers at 7 p.m. in the first round of the district playoffs.

"I think we'll stack up pretty well against them," coach Greg Whitmore said. "We are physical up front and are determined to win the battle at the line of scrimmage."
