NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Royal City in the Council Chambers, 445 Camelia St, NE, Royal City, WA, on November 6, 2012, at 7 pm.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low- and moderate-income persons and persons residing in the Royal City area.

Single jurisdictions may be eligible to receive up to $24,000, and in some cases up to $35,000, to fund a planning project that principally benefits low- and moderate- income persons. Multiple jurisdictions may be eligible to receive up to $40,000.

An outline of the proposed Water System Plan grant application will be available for review at City Hall, October 31, 2012. Comments may also be submitted in writing to City Hall between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, prior to the public hearing.

A Spanish interpreter will be available. The council chambers is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice. Contact Kelly Collins at 509-346-2263.
