MOSES LAKE — Global software company Chinasoft International is gearing up to launch operations at its Quincy data center within the next month.

According to Brad Cao, Chinasoft's business development manager, the company should begin work in Grant County by the end of November.

Cao was at the recent fall hiring event at Big Bend Community College to meet potential candidates to fill open positions at Chinasoft. He said the company is looking for people with programming experience.

"We're a global company, we do IT consulting and we're focusing on the Washington area," Cao said. "We're currently consulting for Microsoft, but we're also looking at other companies like Amazon and Facebook."

Cao said Chinasoft has been trying to begin operations in the area for about a year. Now that the company has a tangible project to work on, he can finally put a team together.

Cao said he is currently looking for about six employees, but that number could increase if operations expand in the future.

"If we have people, we will be a year-round operation," he said. "We're looking to eventually expand within the next year."

Cao said there is potential for full-time employment as well as internships at Chinasoft's Quincy location.

Cao said this is the company's first venture in the central Washington region. Chinasoft currently operates a site in Redmond, he said.

Founded in 2000, Chinasoft International now has more than 16,000 employees in 45 cities worldwide. Chinasoft's United States operations involve software development, IT outsourcing and software testing.
