Clay Feats - sportsman?

Dennis Clay drives to Wenatchee and goes to an orchard where a cow elk is basically tied to an apple tree. The farmer drives Clay right up to the elk. Clay ju,ps out, runs 25 feet away from the elk and shoots a nice shot. Master hunter?
