'Lord of the Rings' star deejays at Saucy Hog Friday

| October 18, 2012 1:11 PM

MOSES LAKE — Dominic Monaghan, a British actor whose credits include the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy of films and the television series “Lost,” will be spinning tunes at the Saucy Hog Saloon Friday night, beginning once filming is wrapped up for the day, about 10 p.m., and staying to closing at 2 p.m.

Saucy Hog manager Jacob Freeman said Monaghan is part of a film crew working in the basin, and a member of the crew called the bar Wednesday, asking if Freeman would be interested in allowing Monaghan to deejay on Friday. Freeman said at first he didn’t believe it, “but it was actually him.”

Freeman said he doesn’t know what the play list looks like, but he thought it would feature dance tunes.

The Friday cover charge will be $5; the saloon is open to only to people 21 years of age and over.
