Donna L. Saetre

Donna L. Saetre, 75, Spokane resident and former longtime Warden resident, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at the Academy at Merrill Gardens. A graveside service will be held Oct. 19, 2012, at 10:30 am, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. Donna was born Oct. 17, 1936 in Leavenworth, Washington, daughter of the late Walt and Marie (Balhm) Clark. At a young age she moved to Alaska with her parents and eventually returned to Washington to reside in Soap Lake. She attended and graduated high school in Ephrata, Washington, then moved to Spokane, Washington to attend Kinman Business University. She moved back to Soap Lake, eventually meeting and marrying John R. Saetre on July 20, 1957 in Soap Lake. They purchased the hardware store in Warden on January 1, 1959 operating as "Saetre Hardware" until 1983. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Allen and for many years as a clerk for the City of Warden. She was a member of Warden First Baptist Church and in later years the Warden Assembly of God.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Tina and Joe Chamberlain, Spokane, WA, Jim and Christina Saetre, Lind, WA, Don and Lanette Saetre, McKinney, TX; ten grandchildren, Amanda Chamberlain Garber, Ben Chamberlain, Brittani Chamberlain Aman, James Saetre, Jr., Matthew Saetre, Sabrina Saetre Metlow, Jacob Saetre, Robert Saetre, Ethan Saetre, Ryan Saetre; four great grandchildren, McKenzie Aman, Landon Aman, Jeremy Metlow, and Jorden Saetre.
