Lifetime resident of Moses Lake, Biff G. Bailey, 58, passed away on October 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Kayser's Chapel. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.

Biff was born in Moses Lake to Ken and Barbara Bailey on May 14, 1954. Biff attended Moses Lake schools through 1971, and then enlisted in the army. His honorable service consisted of heavy equipment operator, and a paratrooper. He earned the National Defense service medal, sharpshooter and parachute badges. He loved parachuting so much, that after the service, he would spend his free time continuing to jump out of planes in Issaquah. Biff's livelihood consisted of working in many areas of the construction industry locally and in Alaska. He was mainly an equipment operator and concrete finisher. At one time, Biff owned his own concrete business.

In the fall of 2010, Biff was diagnosed with sinus cancer. He spent over three months in the hospital undergoing radiation therapy. The radiation left him with extensive damage and struggles. As Biff said countless time "A regular guy couldn't do this"! Upon being released from the hospital, his biggest wish was to come home and get a dog. His cousin Greg took him to our local rescue and Biff came home with 'Maggie'. She was his best friend and helped him through his last months.

Biff was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Biff fought very hard against this disease, and really, he won - he's now an angel. He is survived by his mom, Barbara Bailey, sister, Kim Jasper (Jan), nieces, Chessa Tachiki (Phil) and Bailey Jasper, son Brad Palmer, 'just like a sister' Sue Lapp and many, many friends. He will be greatly missed.

In honor of Biff's love of animals, donations can be made to the Grant County Animal Outreach, 6725 Randolph Road NE, in Moses Lake.
