Notice of Application, and proposed SEPA Determination of Non-Significance and Adoption of existing environmental documents

Notice is hereby given that a Unified Development Code Amendment and SEPA Checklist were received by Grant County on September 28, 2012 from the Public Utility District No. 2 of Grant County, P.O. Box 878, Ephrata, WA 98823 (509)754-5088 and found to be technically complete on October 3, 2012. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-significance and Adoption of existing Environmental Documentation for this proposal, utilizing the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may be the only opportunity to comment on

the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of

the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: An amendment the following portions of the Unified Development Code (UDC): UDC 23.12.075 Clustering Standards by adding Rural Community as an applicable zone, the addition of minimum lot size for LAMRIDS and the addition of Rural Community to Table 4 - Number of Dwelling Units per Cluster. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: None. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: County Wide. ZONING: Rural Community. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: The Grant County Planning Commission, 7:00 pm, December 5, 2012 in the Commissioners Hearing Room, located in the Grant County Courthouse, 35 C Street NW, Ephrata, WA 98823. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. Copies of the application materials (File #12-5730) and the adopted environmental documentation are available from Dorothy Black, Grant County Planning Department, 457 1st Ave. NW, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 625; office hours are 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm October 29, 2012 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. Any person has the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the above listed materials.
