BBCC volleyball drops match

| October 5, 2012 1:00 PM

PASCO - Big Bend Community College (BBCC) hit the pavement in search of a much needed road win Wednesday. But the Lady Hawks proved to be an unwelcome host as Columbia Basin Community College turned back the Lady Vikings in three sets (25-9, 25-23, 25-15).

The loss drops BBCC to 1-6 in NWACC league play and 2-16 overall.

"We played a couple of tough sets, but are still struggling to hit the ball well," coach Natalie Coulston said. "And despite some team sickness Taylor (Varneau) and Katelyn (Riste) had a great game defensively with 16 and 18 digs."

The Lady Vikings are back in action OCt. 11 when the team travels to Southwest Oregon to match up with the Umpqua Riverhawks.
