Royal R. Rauter, 103, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012. He was born December 17, 1908 in Warden, WA, to Gottleib and Salome (Schutz) Rauter.
Royal met and fell in love with Elsa Troutman on June 20, 1937 and they married. They just celebrated their 75th anniversary.
They had two children, Jeri Lee and James Allen.
Royal was a charter member of the Rodeo Association and his favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Royal is survived by his wife, Elsa; their daughter, Jeri; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
He was preceded in death by his son James, one grandson, four sisters, a brother and a nephew.
Services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Warden Community Church.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Warden Community Church memorial fund can be made.
Burial date will be later.
