Another transplant set for Michelle Wallace

SEATTLE - Michelle Wallace, who recently moved from Royal City to western Washington to live nearer to her doctors, has been scheduled for another transplant of lymphocytes.
The good news is that the lymphocytes, provided by her father Wes, are already on hand. They were saved from his blood donation for a transplant last spring.
"Well the day has come to where my docs had to figure out what was going to happen with me after my transplant in June. I got a phone call earlier this week with some options and today we set up the next step, another transplant," Wallace said Thursday.
Although doctors are happy with the progress Wallace has made, they aren't satisfied that she's at .02 percent cancer, not zero percent.
"They want too get it all," Wallace said.
On Oct. 11 Wallace will start the work-up for the transplant: blood draw, bone marrow biopsy, pulmonary function test, physical, all to make sure she's healthy enough for the transplant.
"I'm pretty sure I am," Wallace said.
Oct. 18 has been set as the transplant date. Wallace will get a slightly bigger dose than last time.
"I am positive it won't effect me in a negative way," she said.
For those folks interested Wallace's ever-mounting medical costs, this will add another $50,000.
