Election set for Quincy irrigators in December

QUINCY - The annual election of the Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District will be held on Tuesday, December 11.

Up for election is a director for Director Division 5 and Director Division 6 to serve a term of three (3) years.

The deadline for filing a Petition of Nomination is Monday, November 5 at 5 p.m. at the District office in Quincy. Copies of the Petition of Nomination are also available at that office.

Currently serving as Director of Division 5 is Bill Stevens, covering all of Range 27 and south to the Frenchman Hills.

Currently serving as Director of Division 6 is Ko Weyns, covering all that portion of the Royal Slope area lying east of Dodson Road, North to include that portion of Block 80 lying East of Dodson Road and south to the District Boundary.

Anyone wishing information regarding the Director Division they are eligible to vote in, please call the Quincy office at 509-787-3591 or the Royal City Office at 509-346-2301.

Polling locations will be announced after the closing of the nomination process.
