MOSES LAKE - An investigation uncovered a heroin trafficking ring which used Moses Lake as one of its bases.

Two Seattle men were arrested after a joint investigation by the Moses Lake Police Department and the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET).

Investigators reportedly discovered the traffickers transported drugs between Moses Lake and the Puget Sound area, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. A search warrant was served in Moses Lake last week.

"Detectives determined the heroin was coming out of the Seattle area," according to the sheriff's office.

Officers traveled to Bellevue, and teamed up with the Eastside Narcotics Task Force. The investigation included making undercover drug buys in the Seattle area, according to the sheriff's office. The investigation resulted in five arrests, including Matthew Dizzard, 25, and Caspar J.S. Wandler, 22, both of Seattle, according to the sheriff's office. Law enforcement officers seized more than four ounces of heroin, approximately $7,000 in cash and one handgun.

The case is still under investigation.
