MOSES LAKE - Northwest violinist Geoffrey Castle is bringing his Celtic Christmas Celebration to Moses Lake for the first time.

Castle will perform on Saturday at the Wallenstein Theater at Big Bend Community College as part of the Columbia Basin Allied Arts' regular season, along with several other special guests. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Castle is well known throughout the Northwest for his Celtic Christmas show, Columbia Basin Allied Arts Executive Director Pat Daugherty said.

"He's done this Christmas show up and down the West Coast for several years, but this is the first time he's bringing it to Moses Lake," she said. "He was here in April and people loved him, so we're expecting a big turnout."

Castle is an electric six-string violinist, with several critically-acclaimed albums to his name, according to the allied arts.

He is performing with the Gothard Sisters, an all-female Irish music and dance group. Other musical guests include Steve Fossen, Somar Macek, Darin Watkins, Eric Robert and T.J. Morris. Mac MacDonald will also make an appearance as Santa Claus during the show.

Castle hopes to make the Christmas Celebration an annual event in Moses Lake, Daughtery said.

Reserved tickets for the Christmas Celebration are $30, general tickets are $25 and student tickets are $10. Wallenstein Theater is located at 6989 College Parkway NE on the Big Bend Community College campus.
