| November 29, 2012 5:00 AM

Archie H. Ott, age 83, of Moses Lake, WA passed away on Friday November 23, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Archie was born on November 29, 1928 to Walter "Dock" and Janie (Hollowell) Ott in Flippin, Arkansas. Growing up in Eufaula, Oklahoma in an area known as Standing Rock Bottom he received his education before joining the Army in 1946. While enlisted in the Army he served as a Military Policeman, Private First Class. After leaving the Army in 1951 he moved to Mabton, WA where he met his wife Judith (Lamp). They were married in March of 1966 when they moved to Royal City, WA. He worked as a steady farm hand to local farmers until becoming disabled.

Archie's life revolved around his family and friends. He loved to visit and play with his grandchildren and more recently his great grandchildren. He was always building something, whether it was a new deck or a good fence, just to stay busy. He will be greatly missed by his little dog, Tiger, who he would take for strolls around the block. Grandpa, you worked hard your whole life in order to provide for your family. Thank you for being our rock and supporting us in all of our life choices. You were a faithful husband, a caring father, a loving grandfather and a dear friend to many. Your smiling face and playful teasing will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest well. We love you and will never forget you.

Archie is survived by his wife Judy; daughter Sherre Holden and husband Arlie of Sunnyside, WA; son Romie and wife Elizabeth of Moses Lake, WA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and one sister Virginia Shropshire of Hanna, Oklahoma. Archie is preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and two sisters.

He wishes to go home to Oklahoma to be buried with his family there so we will not be having any services for him.
