Wilma Dagenette (Bramblett)

| November 22, 2012 5:00 AM

Wilma Bramblett was born in 1934 in Hagerman, New Mexico. Her family moved to California, where she graduated high school and married the love of her life, Kenneth Dagenette, in 1950, becoming Wilma Dagenette. She and her husband and family lived along the West Coast as far north as Juneau, Alaska. Wilma raised her children to enjoy laughter, reading, music, and each other. Her most precious gift to them was an unshakable faith in a loving God. She had the gift of a peacemaker, and people drawn to her received loving help and counsel. Wilma moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2005, with most of her family, where she stepped across into the presence of Jesus and eternal life on November 18, 2012.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dagenette; her mother and father, Feno and Sallie Bramblett, and her step-father Troy Savage. Wilma leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jeanne Dagenette Nowlin and Leann Dagenette, and her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Linda Dagenette; grandchildren Paul (Danilyn) Nowlin, Danielle (Lee) Mayfield, Jonathan (Sara) Dagenette, David (Steffani) Dagenette, Joshua Dagenette, and Caleb Dagenette; great-grandchildren Adelaine Bezotte; Andrew, Joshua, Luke, and Norah Mayfield; and Sidney, Riley, Jeremey, and Brady Dagenette. She is also survived by her sisters, Doris (Bob) Bower, Nori (Ben) Korock, and Anne (Keith) Luna, and step-sister Janice Savage Harris.

We shed tears not for her, but for the empty spot left in our lives. We thank God for the time we had with her and rejoice that she now dances through Heaven unencumbered by a well-worn body.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Midwest Agape Chapel, 5161 E 171st Street S, Bixby, Oklahoma. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kevin Lewis. Funeral arrangements are through Leonard & Marker Funeral Home.
