MOSES LAKE - Grant County Republican Party Chairman Dani Bolyard has licked her wounds from the recent election, and she's urging party members to do the same.

"I'm disappointed in how this election turned out, obviously, but I'm also very proud of the hard work you've all done," she said. Thank you for stepping up to serve and to be involved, from caucus to convention to campaigns and the get-out-the-vote effort."

According to Bolyard, Grant County has shown, one again, that it is conservative at heart.

Elections on the local level went to conservative candidates.

"We hold to the traditional family values for which our party is known. I wouldn't trade that for anything, despite the setback of this election," Bolyard said.

"If anything, we now work harder," she added. "We will still call our representatives. We will still educate our neighbors. We will still defend our principles."

That means there is still work for Republicans to do. There are meetings to attend.

The last county party meeting of this term will be on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at Time Out Pizza in Ephrata. The party will be making plans for its biannual organization meeting.

That organization meeting will occur on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at Grant County Public Works at the Ephrata airport. New officers, new bylaws, and new committees will be put into place.
