John Harold Yearout

John Harold Yearout passed from this earthly existence on November 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. John was born November 23, 1939 in Yakima, Washington to Peter and Erna Cromer Yearout. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1958, and Brigham Young University in 1967. He served as a missionary in the Monterrey, Mexico LDS mission. John married Susanne Peden on September 1, 1964, who preceded him in death in 2007.

John is survived by his wife Diane Patterson Yearout, whom he met and married in 2009; siblings Terry Yearout, Robin (Bob) Yearout, Mike Yearout and Marilee Hiddleston; and his children from his marriage to Susanne: Karina (Therron) Blatter, Jim (Anjee) Yearout, Kerri (Chris) Butler, Peter (Dawn) Yearout, Adam Yearout, Matt Yearout and 15 grandchildren. In addition to his children with Susanne, John also welcomed with loving arms the children of his wife, Diane: Kathleen Jensen, James Linderman, John Linderman, Joseph Linderman, Penny Lazenby, David Linderman and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

For many years, John ran his own publishing, printing and graphic arts business in Royal City, Washington. He later moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico to assume the position of Public Relations Director at Mesa Lands Community College, where he retired. He valiantly served in many callings in the LDS church, including Branch President of the Tucumcari, New Mexico Branch. In his later years, John loved serving with Diane as a temple worker at the Medford, Oregon temple.

John loved wildlife and the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, wood carving, woodworking and spending time with his family. He loved people and quickly made friends with anyone he talked to. His love, influence, and service to his fellow man cannot be measured. John will be dearly missed by family and friends.
