Bomb threats reported at Adams County Courthouse

RITZVILLE - Adams County Courthouse employees received a bomb scare Thursday afternoon.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, a bomb threat was made to the Superior Court Clerk's Office at 3:20 p.m. Officials said a male voice contacted the facility saying that several explosive devices were in the courthouse and would detonate within 20 minutes.

Employees were evacuated and sheriff's deputies conducted a search of the building. Nothing suspicious was found, and no explosions took place.

Department heads were cleared to go back to work at 4:15 p.m.
