SPOKANE - Two federal inmates walked away from the Spokane Residential Re-Entry Center last week, and the U.S. Marshal's Office is seeking information on their whereabouts.

Brandon Carson, 29, and Wayne Mellgren, 32, escaped from the center Sunday without authorization or permission. Both men were at the center finishing the end of their sentences.

Marshals issued escape warrants for both men Thursday in Washington's Eastern District.

Carson is described as 5'9" tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was finishing his sentence for involuntary manslaughter. Mellgren is described as 6'3" tall, 200 pounds, with green eyes and blond hair. Mellgren also has multiple tattoos on his neck, arms and chest. He was completing his term for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Marshal's officials are requesting anyone with information on either man's whereabouts should contact 509-368-3635.
