Genie Industries expects high production year

MOSES LAKE - An anticipated increase in production activity next year for Genie Industries has led to the creation of new full-time positions at its Moses Lake plant, but the total figure is unknown.
Company officials recently announced they are actively hiring in Moses Lake.
Company spokesperson Melinda Smith said that the company is anticipating their production rates to increase in the first two quarters of the upcoming year.
"As a result, we are beginning to hire now to support this increase," said Smith.
She said the Genie Industries plant in Moses Lake is already beginning to prepare for this boom in activity.
Smith said although the company is already actively hiring at its Moses Lake location, she did not know how many total positions were going to be added.
