Franklin County Public Works is inviting and requesting bid proposals for CRP 600/Filbert Bridge #408-0.69. This project consists of removal of an existing untreated timber structure that spans 34 feet across an irrigation canal and replacing it with a new, bottomless, deep core steel structural plate arch.

Franklin County Public Works is inviting and requesting bid proposals for CRP 600/Filbert Bridge #408-0.69. This project consists of removal of an existing untreated timber structure that spans 34 feet across an irrigation canal and replacing it with a new, bottomless, deep core steel structural plate arch. The project will also include grading, road widening, crushed surfacing, HMA, fencing, and other minor items.

Sealed bids shall be marked with the project named and number and be addressed to the County Commissioners. Bids will be received at the Office of the Board of County Commis.sioners, Franklin County Courthouse, 1016 N. 4th Ave, Pasco, Washington, until 8:45 AM Wednesday, November 28, 2012, and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud during the regular County Commissioners meeting at 9:45 AM. Bids shall be submitted only on the proposal form provided with the specifications.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total contract amount.

A CD containing electronic copies of the Maps, plans and specifications in PDF format may be obtained after 8:00 AM, Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 from the Franklin County Public Works Department, 3416 Stearman Ave., Pasco, Washington, 99301, upon payment of the amount of $10.00 per copy.

Informational copies of maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection in the Office of the County Engineer of Franklin County in Pasco, Washington, the Tri-City Construction Council in Kennewick, Washington, the Association of General Contractors of Spokane, Washington, and Construction Data of Spokane, Washington.

The Franklin County Public Works Department in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Depart.ment of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

The Franklin County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved make the award to best serve the interests of Franklin County.
